Phoenix is pleased to announce Liz Scott has been approved by NZKC as a Canine Good Citizen Dog Instructor for Hamilton.

The purpose of the canine good citizen programme is to ensure that our favourite companion, the dog, can be a respected member of the community because it is trained and conditioned to act with good manners in the home, public places and in the presence of other dogs and animals

Canine good citizen training is fun and useful. through canine good citizen you and your dog can establish a closer bond and your dog will have the added benefit of knowing how to please you.

The canine good citizen assessment is not a competition and does not require that you and your dog perform with ‘competition’ precision, but it should show the dog’s willingness to obey instructions given from the handler, demonstrate basic training and consistently display good temperament.
